I had to help perform the bi-weekly check on engine 2 today. While I'm not officially a firefighter yet, I will be as of a week from Monday. I'm heading to Glen Canyon National Recreation Area for structural fire training. I've somehow got to figure out how to pack all my fire gear (boots, helmet, SCBA (like SCUBA, but without the "underwater"), turnouts (fireman suit), etc.) into a single duffle bag. Should be interested. The cool part is that I get to spend two week playing with fire!

Good luck with the packing!
I like the light on this pic.
There's nothing like a shiny firetruck to bring out the best in the afternoon light.
